If you smell gas, don’t use electrical switches or naked flames. Open doors and windows if it is safe, turn off the gas at the meter if you know how, leave the property and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999.
If there is water around the boiler, switch off the electricity and water supply if it is safe to do so. Don’t remove the boiler casing or attempt a repair yourself.
